This is not about politics

Truth be told, I'm not too crazy about the video, which starts out great in outlining the blatant sexism that is allowed in today's media, but then segues into the sexist aspects of the media portrayal of Hillary's campaign. It's not that I don't believe sexism has played a part (as is apparent from the video), it's that there is so much more out there they could have used. Just from the big three news outlets alone, they could have shown how pervasively sickening the levels of what is allowed to be said about women on what are supposed to be shows about the news. Go here and watch it anyway. Sign up for news from the Womens Media Center, because until we all start speaking out, it is going to continue. Period.

If men could do things properly in the first place, they wouldn't need a wife to nag.

These media people are a disgrace.

I've been saying this all along and thank you for pointing this out because now I have a frame of reference for the cave man I work with. He's the one who writes his conservative commentaries that make other conservatives cringe. I was just having a debate with him - well, actually an argument. I only call it a debate when both sides are saying things that are reasonable, even though the points of view may differ.

Not that this will in any way change his mind but it's nice to find a resource that will give me examples of what I'm trying to illustrate.

Glad to be of service ;)
And I hope it helps somewhat. I find I'm shouting in the wind a lot when it comes to media portrayal of women, especially when I'm talking to men. It frustrates me how we only view the world from within our own shells sometimes.
